Furniture for babies

Looking for baby furniture and toys that promote both independence and child safety isn’t easy. But today’s moms won’t have to worry anymore where to find them as Warble Kids opens in Shangri-la Plaza.

The Trend

“I think parents nowadays are more concerned about child mobility and safety, which is what we encourage in Warble,” says owner Claudine Chan-Cobankiat. “Everything on Warble are about those factors. We want all our products to be holistic for the family.”

An example of what Chan-Cobankiat means is the Babyzen strollers and the Foldaway, which both mother and child can use them with ease. These products enable both the parents and children to move freely without compromising child safety.

“We also sell other brands that have baby essentials. Our thrust is safety because it gives your family peace of mind,” she says.

On choosing furniture

Chan-Cobankiat also shares her top picks: the Babyzen strollers, which she thinks is the best because of its compact features; the Foldaway for its durability; the bumper mats that can be transformed in different ways; the PVC mats or the flat mats because they are functional and easy to roll; and lastly, the space-saving convertible cube chairs that also serve as tables and come with three sizes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Actress Iya Villania-Arellano, who is currently pregnant, is one of Chan-Cobankiat’s in opening Warble Kids. “We started with the Foldaway. I love it so much. I got it from Australia and I wanted to make it available for Filipino moms here,” Iya shares. “Then I discovered there was also someone else who was bringing in the same product and we ended up meeting and working together.”

Iya Villania-Arellano is one of the brand ambassadors for Warble Kids.

In choosing furniture for the kids, Chan-Cobankiat advises that apart from it being durable enough to grow with the children, the furniture should also be functional and encourage the child to be independent.

“So you would want your child to learn and integrate play in their everyday living because that’s how they learn now—through play,” she explains.

Warble Kids is located at the 4th Floor, East Wing of Shangri-la Plaza.
