Princess Velasco’s lullaby playlist for Milo and Kobe
Most babies need a lullaby to make them sleep since they tend to be fussy at night. In an exclusive interview, Moms and Babies got a chance to ask acoustic singer Princess Velasco of the top lullaby tracks she used for Kobe when he was younger and now plays for her younger son Milo.
1. A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes
This is the theme from Disney’s “Cinderella”- this is my all-time favorite and go-to lullaby for my babies. I used to sing this also to them when they were in-utero. I super love the words!
2. Tulog Na by Sugarfree
I “personalize” the lyrics for Kobe and Milo.
3. Brahm’s Lullaby
Cannot go wrong with this one, makes anyone sleepy, including me while singing it.
4. With A Smile
I sing my acoustic ballad version of this E-heads song.
5. Ugoy ng Duyan
Classic Filipino lullaby, I love the melody and lyrics.
6. Perfect
This was Kobe’s favorite song before and he memorized it.
7. Smile (though your heart is breaking)
The melody and words are beautiful.
8. Que Sera Sera
My mother sang this to me when I was little, and it reminds me of her when I sing it. Kind of bittersweet because she passed away in 2009.
9. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
The repetitive melody makes baby sleepy, and it’s the same melody as ABCs too.
10. Rock-A-Bye Baby
This is a classic lullaby song.
