When celebrity and former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Say Alonzo-Tordesillas first revealed her second pregnancy to Moms & Babies, it was but natural that we hosted her very intimate baby shower. Held last February 12 at Cafe 1771 in El Pueblo Ortigas, the function room was filled with special guests including co-PBB housemates such as Bea Saw, Geeann Abrahan-Perz, Mickey Perz, Nene Tamayo, and Dionne Monsato. Her very good friend Ara Mina, and the pretty Sanya Lopez were also present to join the very private afternoon event. “I only invited people that I always talk to,” shares Say about her guest list.
The kikay mom, Say Alonzo, arrived with her husband Ryan by her side. The two are expecting another baby boy, and informed their 3-year-old son Asher the great news. “He’s been wanting a baby sister or a baby brother kasi he watches yung mga The Incredibles, tapos yung Boss Baby. Gusto niya ng baby so we finally told him na ‘You’re going to have a baby!’ Tapos parang hinahawakan niya dito (Say’s pregnant belly). ‘Hi, I’m Asher. I’m your kuya. I will take care of you.’” shares Say. “First time we told him, lumaki talaga yung mga mata niya. And he said he will be kuya,” adds Ryan.
Due anytime soon with a projected forecast of March 19, we asked her what she has been doing while waiting. “I’ve been buying the stuff na wala pa ako. Rest also, kasi pag dating ng baby hindi na naman ako makakatulog,” says Say. As of the interview, the expectant mom just treated herself to a salon-pampering afternoon. She also regularly goes for mani-pedi at Posh Nails.
When asked what she is most excited about when she gives birth, she can’t wait to see the baby. “They all look like Ryan (her husband). They all look alike. Ako lang hindi kamukha.
“Nakita ko na ang ultrasound ng bata, magkakamukha nga silang tatlo,” she explains jokingly. Aside from that, she can’t wait to have delicious food that she has been missing, which includes soft cheeses with hamon serrano and parma ham, wine, sangria, sushi and salmon to name a few.
A few more weeks to go before the whole world will meet their second son, Austin. And while we wait, Say prays, “I wish for a normal easy safe delivery with no complications, so I can go home right away and be with my whole family.”
