Dumbo is another family-oriented film you should watch
Disney is set to release another heartwarming film perfect for the whole family. Showing on March 27 in theaters nationwide, Dumbo brings to life the 1941 animated feature following the story of a giant elephant with big ears.
Directed by Tim Burton, the live-action adventure expands on the classic story. It tells the story of Dumbo, a newborn elephant with oversized ears who is a laughingstock in a circus. The struggling circus owner Max Medici, who is played by Danny DeVito, enlists the help of former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to look after the elephant.
But the circus makes a comeback upon the discovery that Dumbo can fly, and eventually attracting the attention of entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton).
He recruits the elephant in his new entertainment venture Dreamland alongside aerial artist Colette Marchant, who is played by Eva Green. But Dumbo’s caretaker Holt discovers that Dreamland is hiding a lot of dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer.
Alongside Tim Burton, Dumbo is also produced by Justin Springer and is one of the many films that Disney has in store for families this year. This summer, the much-awaited Avengers: Endgame is set to come out on April, followed by the Disney Princess remake Aladdin on May.
