ICYMI: Maynilad scheduled for water interruptions on Holy Week

By Kristelle Bechayda

With several families either going home to their provinces or leaving for a short vacation during the Holy Week observance, the Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) will be conducting water network enhancement activities that will interrupt the water supply of its customers.

The enhancement activities will be held from April 16, 2019 to April 20, 2019 in line with Maynilad’s effort to improve its water services in the West Zone, as stated in their press release on their website.

Apart from the facility maintenance works, pipe decommissioning, pipe interconnections, and valve replacements, Maynilad will also conduct its leak detection and repairs that would otherwise require another implementation of separate service disruptions.

“The duration of service interruptions will differ per area. Some will have no water for five hours only, while others will have no water for 30 hours,” said Maynilad Water Supply Operations Head, Engr. Ronaldo Padua. “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience. These activities are being done so we can continue to improve the water infrastructure and ensure better water services for the long-term.”

The affected areas will be some parts of Manila, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Parañaque, Pasay, Las Piñas, and Bacoor in Cavite. Check out the schedule of the water supply interruption below.
